Weekly offer flyers for two oriental food stores

Multimat is an oriental food store in Stenhagen, Uppsala — and a parcel point for DHL and DB Schenker. Skärholmen City Handel in Stockholm sells "mat från världens alla hörn" — food from every corner of the world — with a halal meat counter.

Both stores are open every day from 9 to 21, and both wanted the same thing: a new offers flyer every week.

A weekly flyer only works if it's out on time, every time. Each week brought new products and new prices — rice, spices, fruit and vegetables, fresh meat, household goods — and each flyer had to:

• Fit around a dozen offers on one A4 page
• Make every price easy to find and compare
• Show clearly how long the offers last
• Look like its store, not a generic supermarket ad

We designed a fixed template for each store, so a new week only meant new products and prices:

• Its own colour: orange for Multimat, purple for City Handel
• A product grid with one large hero offer and smaller tiles around it
• Yellow price tags with the ordinary price ("Ord") underneath, so the saving is obvious
• Multi-buy badges like "3 FÖR" and "2 FÖR"
• "Öppet alla dagar 9–21" in the top corner, and the address and contact details in the footer
• The validity dates on every flyer: "Gäller från och med fredag… så länge lagret räcker"

City Handel's flyers use the same clear grid in purple, with the store's promise "Mat från världens alla hörn!" under the name and the halal mark on the meat pages.
